A maze chase with a word buried in it. The carrots scattered through the burrow carry the letters of one word, and you have to collect them while foxes work the corridors looking for you.

How Maze Wordz works

Swipe, or use the arrow keys. Every carrot you eat adds its letter to the word forming along the top, so the maze doubles as the puzzle — you can see which letter is still missing and plan a route to it rather than wandering.

Foxes patrol and give chase. Two things beat them: a carrot box, which hides you while one walks past, and a gold coin, which turns the chase around for a few seconds and lets you clear a corridor you had been avoiding all round.

Questions

Is it timed?

There is no clock. The pressure is the foxes, not a countdown, so you can stop and plan a route whenever you like.

Does it work on a phone?

Yes. It is played in landscape and takes swipes; on a desktop the arrow keys do the same job.

Is it free?

Yes, with no sign-up and nothing to install.

There is an Android app and an iPhone app as well, and everything keeps working offline once it has loaded.
